2007 Conference Championships

2007 Conference Championships

New York Giants at Green Bay Packers

Eddie - This is going to be a tough physical game that's going to be won on the ground and the defense front. I hate to say this because I'm a fan of Favre but the Giants are going to win this game.

Fred - Green Bay destroys the Giants. In two weeks, the two best teams from their respective conferences go head to head in a Super Bowl that’s sure to be considered one of the best ever.

San Diego Chargers at New England Patriots

Eddie - Can a 75% Rivers or a 100% Volek - 80% L.T. and a 90% Gates beat the Pats? I think not.

Fred - The Perfect Patriots easily take care of an injured Chargers team.

2007 NFL Divisional Matchups

2007 NFL Divisional Matchups

New York Giants at Dallas Cowboys

Eddie - Eli is playing way above his normal style and I just question how long this can go on. The Giants have a tough matchup and I just don't think they have enough offense to keep up with the Boys.

Fred - Enough with all this Giants hype. Jacobs is a monster and someone I’m targeting in fantasy next year. Eli is waaaaaaay overdue for a bad game. This is it! A fresh Cowboys team beats an over-achieving Giants team.

Seattle Seahawks at Green Bay Packers

Eddie - I don't like that Seattle is lacking a running game which is something they'll need to defeat the Pack. Favre and his young supporting cast are playing well together and their journey doesn't stop here.

Fred – Guys like Chris Berman are picking Seahawks to upset the Packers. Are you kidding me? How is it that people aren’t seeing the Packers as the best team in the NFC. I’ve been saying this for the last 8 weeks! Packers crush the Seahawks

Jacksonville Jaguars at New England Patriots

Eddie - Fred and I were talking about this matchup earlier this week and before the wild card matchups I was convinced the Jags could give the Pats a run for their money. I'm not so sure about that anymore. Garrard is a managing QB. He won't win you the game - he'll manage the game. Well - the Patriots are going to force him to win it and he just can't do that. Garrard.. 2 I.N.T..... Pats move on to the next round

Fred – With a 13-point spread in favor of a 16-0 team, this pick is easy, right? First off, if the Jags lose, it won’t be by 13 or more points. So, that’s easy money to be had. I’m going with my gut on this pick. This game will be one we talk about for years as the Jags barely beat the undefeated Patriots. Upset pick #1.

San Diego Chargers at Indianapolis Colts

Eddie - San Diego will be missing a key offensive player where the Colts gain one back. This should be an easy win for Peyton and Co.

Fred - Having had the Chargers defense in fantasy, I know how good they are. But, a refreshed Colts team with Marvin back means a ton of points. Chargers offense is too jeckyl and hype throughout the game. Colts put up 35+ points while the Chargers are in the low 20s.

2007 NFL Wild Card Picks

2007 NFL Wild Card Picks

Washington Redskins at Seattle Seahawks

Eddie - The Redskins are on a huge momentum swing and Seattle will find it hard to find offense. Skins win easily.

Fred - Seattle had the easiest schedule this year. The Skins are playing out of their minds right now. Surprisingly, Todd Collins was the missing piece for a mistake-free pass offense. Skins continue the 4 game winning streak and get a 5th one. Upset pick #1!

Jacksonville Jaguars at Pittsburgh Steelers

Eddie - Big Ben without Parker is like... well.. Big Ben without Parker. This doesn't look good for you Pittsburgh fans. Jacksonville comes in and takes the win.

Fred – What a great wild card game! The Steelers, with the #1 defense, against the Jags, who have the #2 rush offense. Not counting last week, the Jags won the last 6 of 7, only losing to the Colts 25-28 in Indy. The Steelers started this year on fire, but have cooled off quite a bit…and without Fast Willie, there’s no way they can beat the Jags.

New York Giants at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Eddie - The New York Giants did more than lose against the Patriots. They won back their self-esteem. Watch out playoffs... this could be a team to be reckoned with.

Fred – The toughest pick this week. Nobody is talking about the Bucs, who have the #3 defense in the NFL. Everyone is talking about the Giants because of the good game they had against the Patriots last week. Here’s the deal. The last 7 teams to play Patriots have lost the following week’s game. Sorry Coughlin, Eli makes a few stupid mistakes and loses this one.

Tennessee Titans at San Diego Chargers

Eddie - San Diego is looking HOT and the Titans are NOT.

Fred - Winning the last 6 games, Uncle Mo (a.k.a. Momentum) is in the Chargers favor. Titans #1 WR Roydell Williams is out with injury for the playoffs. LT has over 200 total yards and the Chargers easily win this one.
