The Charleston, SC Fire Tragedy

I imagine by now that most has heard about the tragedy here in Charleston, SC that took the lives of 9 of our firefighters. Well, I have personally been affected by this as my Dad is a Chief for the Charleston Fire Department and was at that fire.
(Dad pictured to the right in the helmet)

That night, as he took on the flames, reports were casted on the news that several firefighters were missing and several were dead. I sat at home scared, nervous, and afraid of how my Dad was. I had no way of confirming he was okay or amongst one of the missing/dead.

Finally, around 4:30 am my Dad called me to let me know he was okay. There's more to this story but I at least wanted to apologize for this page not being updated. As you can imagine this has been a long and rough week for us (especially my Dad).

I want to thank the Charleston Fire Department for their brave service and most of all I'd like to say:

I love you Dad. You are my Hero.

Reggie Wayne

Since Reggie Wayne's rookie year, 2001, his yards have steadily increased. He ended last year with 1310 receiving yards and I expect more this year. He has Marvin Harrison to contend with but that hasn't stopped him yet.

Calvin "The Truth" Johnson

Okay - so by now we've all heard of Calvin Johnson. We've all heard the hype of this "Great to Be". Some have labled him as the BEST ever wide receiver to come out of college.

While I'm not denying his talent - let's just see how long it takes him to adapt to the NFL. It's a different beast at the proffesional level. Linebackers are the size of mack trucks and as quick as a safety so getting hit by a pro is something we'll have to see if Calvin can handle "The Truth"

Until then.. enjoy some hightlights of his college career.

NFL Hits and Sacks

What is it about hits and sacks that gets our blood pumping and adrenaline flowing? Are you ready for some NFL football?

Here are some quick defensive facts about the 2006 NFL season.

The Baltimore Ravens only allowed 12.6 points per game and 75.9 rushing yards per game. The Ravens also had the most defensive touchdowns with 6 and the most interceptions with 28. One word. WOW!!!!!!!!!!

Enjoy the some of the NFL's best hits

We've got Bush!!!!!!!!!

Many people will be flocking to the tube to see Reggie Bush's sophomore season. Will he out perform last year? Will he prove the nay sayers wrong? Can he live in the backfield with Deuce "The Caboose" McAllister? Can he live in the hype of what is his world?

I don't have a clue. But I do know one thing. He, Bush, does NOT want this to happen again.

Brian Westbrook

This guy is like the unspoken hero. All he does is produce on the field. Where will he go in this year's fantasy draft?

Watch out because he'll break your ankles.

Maurice Jones-Drew

Maurice "The Bowling Ball" Jones-Drew.

Here is a name that has been circulating fast around the football fans of the Internet. His rookie campaign has hyped his upcoming sophomore season. So can he produce like everyone thinks he will?

He shares the pigskin with Fragile Freddy so maybe we will see more of him this year.

Let us hope so

Eli Manning to Plaxio Burress

I wonder how many times we'll get to hear this in the coming season of 2008.

Eli Manning to Plaxico Burress for a touchdown.

Without Tiki Barber one might think passing touchdowns may just go down a bit.

So - in memory of the touchdowns here is one that will last.
