2007 NFL Week 17
Saturday, December 29 2007
New England Patriots at New York Giants
Eddie - - For the 16th time – I’m saying the Patriots.
Fred - In 2007, an NFL team goes 16-0 during the regular season. Congratulations in advance New England.
Sunday, December 30 2007
Buffalo Bills at Philadelphia Eagles
Eddie - The last game of the season can sometimes be tricky because teams want to go out on a good note. I think the Eagles will want this game more.
Fred - Philly’s at home. They get the “W”.
Cincinnati Bengals at Miami Dolphins
Eddie - The Bengals have a lot of soul searching to do this off-season and it starts with this game.
Fred - Cincy ends the season on a high note and destroys the Dolphins.
San Francisco 49ers at Cleveland Browns
Eddie - A “bounce-back” game would be appropriate for the Browns. Cleveland needs to win and they will.
Fred - Browns have something to play for and the Niners may not have Shaun Hill at QB. Browns win.
Detroit Lions at Green Bay Packers
Eddie - Not only was Kitna wrong about his 10 win prediction but they’ll lose the last game of the season as well.
Fred - Packers make up for their pathetic play last week and crush the Lions.
Carolina Panthers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Eddie – I know a lot of the Bucs will be resting but Carolina just can’t seem to get it together.
Fred – Bucs reserves against Panthers starters…hmmm. Since it’s in Tampa, let’s go with the Bucs. Upset pick #1.
Jacksonville Jaguars at Houston Texans
Eddie – The Jaguars are just too strong and the Texans can’t/won’t be able to match up.
Fred – Jags are also resting their starters. Andre Johnson gets 150+ receiving yards and the Texans win.
Seattle Seahawks at Atlanta Falcons
Eddie - It will be important that Atlanta comes out with this win. There will be a lot of players playing for a spot on the 2008 Falcons’ roster.
Fred - Only a 1 point spread in the Falcons favor. Let’s flip and coin and see…it’s heads so Falcons win.
New Orleans Saints at Chicago Bears
Eddie – Saints need this more than Chicago does.
Fred – Due to weather conditions the Saints can’t handle, the Bears barely win. Upset pick #2.
St. Louis Rams at Arizona Cardinals
Eddie – I expect a lot of offense in this game especially from Jackson.
Fred – Bulger, S-Jax, Holt and crew run up the score and outscore the Cardinals. Upset pick #3.
Minnesota Vikings at Denver Broncos
Eddie – Playing for pride in mile high; Watch out Minnesota. You are about to step into a death trap.
Fred - 30th Run defense against the best running offense…wow! Peterson and Taylor run all over the field, but the Denver pass offense also has a great game. Vikings win in an extremely close game.
San Diego Chargers at Oakland Raiders
Eddie – I imagine Oakland will be playing a lot of different people so that inconsistency will be the cause of the loss.
Fred – JaMarcus gets the start and the Chargers defense has a feast. Chargers win.
Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens
Eddie - Something is clearly not right with the Ravens and they’ve become extremely unpredictable.
Fred - As I’ve said each week, Ravens S-T-I-N-K! They’ve lost the last 9 games and will lose this one too.
Kansas City Chiefs at New York Jets
Eddie - Chiefs win big and big enough where Edwards gets to keep his coaching job. Unfortunately.
Fred - The Chiefs have lost the last 8 games of the season, and since Herm doesn’t deserve a Head Coaching job in the NFL, the Chiefs lose.
Dallas Cowboys at Washington Redskins
Eddie - Redskins are finding their groove and it’ll be just enough to inch into the playoffs.
Fred - The Cowboys have nothing to play for while the Skins do…and the Skins are at home. Easy pick.
Tennessee Titans at Indianapolis Colts
Eddie – The Colts won’t be the same without their superstars playing.
Fred – The Colts starters aren’t playing the entire game so the Titans win.

2007 NFL Week 16
2007 NFL Week 16
Thursday, December 20 2007
Pittsburgh Steelers at St. Louis Rams
Eddie – STEELERS
Steelers are out of the bad weather and have lost two straight. It’s time to get back to winning.
Fred – STEELERS
The Steelers are still going after the AFC North title. The Rams are going after…uh…nothing. After losing the last two weeks against two great teams (Pats and Jags), the Steelers get an easy “W” in St. Louis.
Saturday, December 22 2007
Dallas Cowboys at Carolina Panthers
Eddie – COWBOYS
Simpson or Underwood won’t be in Carolina so that means the Cowboys will win.
Fred – COWBOYS
Okay, TO didn’t go off last week, so that’s two weeks in a row that he’s stunk. Not going to happen this week. TO gets 2 TDs and the Cowboys rout the Panthers.
Sunday, December 23 2007
Kansas City Chiefs at Detroit Lions
Eddie – LIONS
Okay Lions… enough is enough. Where is that fire power we witnessed at the beginning of the season?
Fred – LIONS
The entire Detroit offense is due for a great game. At home, they pummel hapless Chiefs.
Oakland Raiders at Jacksonville Jaguars
Eddie – JAGUARS
I’ve been saying this from early on – watch out for those Jags.
Fred – JAGUARS
No Jags make the Pro Bowl team + The Raiders without Fargas = Jags vengeance and a severe Raiders beat-down
Houston Texans at Indianapolis Colts
Eddie – COLTS
Colts are looking for this win so they can try and clinch the 2nd bye and home field advantage until the conference championship.
Fred – COLTS
I’m now a believer in Sage. But, can he beat the Colts in Indy? No, but Houston gives Indy a slight scare.
Cleveland Browns at Cincinnati Bengals
Eddie – BENGALS
This isn’t the year where the Browns win the division.
Fred – BROWNS
The battle of two teams with great offenses, and awful defenses. My gut says the Bengals upset the Browns, but the Browns are in the playoff hunt. Let’s go with Browns...but, it’s a close one!
Philadelphia Eagles at New Orleans Saints
Eddie – SAINTS
The Saints are just looking too good as of late. The Eagles played a hard game last weekend and I’m not sure they have enough to take out the Saints in New Orleans.
Fred – EAGLES
How can offensively, the 5th best, and defensively, the 8th best team in the league be 6-8?!?!? The Saints have been on fire, but this is the week they get cooled down by those 6-8 Eagles. Upset Pick #1!
New York Giants at Buffalo Bills
Eddie – BILLS
Usually the Giants fall apart at the end of the season and guess where we are – the end of the season.
Fred – GIANTS
How can offensively, the 3rd worst, and defensively, the 4th worst team in the league be 7-7?!?!? The Bills have somehow found ways to win. The Giants get a playoff berth with a “W”. So, even without Shockey, they find a way to win.
Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears
Eddie – PACKERS
Favre and Co. need this win and besides we all know Favre is a Bear killer.
Fred – PACKERS
Good or bad weather…it doesn’t matter. Packers continue their dominance in Chi-town.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at San Francisco 49ers
Eddie – 49ERS
Call it a hunch but the 49ers will win this game.
Fred – BUCCANEERS
Shaun Hill has a much tougher challenge this week against the 3rd best defense in the NFL. He should continue to spark the Niners offense, but the Bucs are still playing for playoff positioning. They easily take care of the Niners.
Atlanta Falcons at Arizona Cardinals
Eddie – CARDINALS
If you can’t beat the Falcons it’s time to regroup and take your team back to the college level.
Fred - CARDINALS
Since it’s in Arizona, let’s go with the Cards. The news of Parcells joining the Falcons organization hypes up those Falcons so this game is really close.
Miami Dolphins at New England Patriots
Eddie – PATRIOTS
Miami is the last team to beat New England. But – not this year.
Fred – PATRIOTS
Can Miami go on a two game winning streak? LOL…not against a team that has a 22 point spread against them!
Baltimore Ravens at Seattle Seahawks
Eddie - RAVENS
I don’t have a clue what’s going on with the Ravens but if they lose this game it will be 9 straight.
Fred - SEAHAWKS
Ravens stink. Billick and Boller need to get the axe. Seahawks offense gets its act back together and put up 30+ points in the win.
New York Jets at Tennessee Titans
Eddie - TITANS
No comment.
Fred - TITANS
Pennington doesn’t win games (except for barely beating Miami in Week 3). It appears Haynesworth is playing for Tennessee. Easy pick here.
Washington Redskins at Minnesota Vikings
Eddie - VIKINGS
Vikings are just too hot right now.
Fred - VIKINGS
Vikings have won the last 5 games, their running game is unstoppable and their defense has really stepped up. The Redskins are 2-0 with Todd Collins at QB. This one is a really close one with the home team pulling it out.
Monday, December 24 2007
Denver Broncos at San Diego Chargers
Eddie – BRONCOS
The Broncos can’t make the playoffs so they are playing for their season. I call this Redemption Revenge.
Fred –CHARGERS
In Week 5, in Denver, the Chargers crushed the Broncos. Under the big Monday night lights, in San Diego, the Chargers should easily repeat that same performance.

2007 NFL Week 15
2007 NFL Week 15
Thursday, December 13 2007
Denver Broncos at Houston Texans
Eddie – BRONCOS
Broncos are playing too good right now plus the Texans are lacking a consistent running game.
Fred – BRONCOS
Sage and the Texans won last week, but not this week. Denver's offense is clicking and trying to make a playoff run.
Saturday, December 15 2007
Cincinnati Bengals at San Francisco 49ers
Eddie – BENGALS
Only because the 49ers can’t find the endzone.
Fred – 49ERS
Niners are finally ditching the zero and are going with a hero (hopefully) at QB. Frank Gore wants to hit the 1,000 yard rushing mark and he still has a ways to go. They get revenge for that thumping they took against the Vikings and barely beat the Bengals. Upset pick #1!
Sunday, December 16 2007
Baltimore Ravens at Miami Dolphins
Eddie – RAVENS
Ravens have lost 7 straight (or is it 8?) ahh who cares. Miami has lost 13 straight. Ravens don’t want to be the team that loses to Miami.
Fred – DOLPHINS
This is it! Dolphins get their 1 st win! The Ravens spirit is still broken after that loss to New England . Upset pick #2!
Tennessee Titans at Kansas City Chiefs
Eddie – CHIEFS
Only because this is in Arrowhead.
Fred – TITANS
It's meant to be that Herm gets fired at the end of the season. Haynesworth looks like he's a go so the Titans get the "W" in KC.
New York Jets at New England Patriots
Eddie – PATRIOTS
Only a blind man who can’t hear would pick the Jets. Say what?
Fred – PATRIOTS
23 point spread…are you kidding me? LOL! Belichick is eye-balling those NFL records and wants break a bunch of them. The Jets become another victim. Patriots win in a landslide.
Green Bay Packers at St. Louis Rams
Eddie – PACKERS
Favre is just too much and with a running game he’s unbeatable.
Fred – PACKERS
The Rams only score 10 against the Bengals defense with Berlin at QB. Even if Bulger is the starter, the best team in the NFC thumps the lowly Rams.
Atlanta Falcons at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Eddie – BUCCANEERS
Falcons season is over.
Fred – BUCCANEERS
The Bucs, at home, against a team who just had their coach resign during the season, and his head wasn't even on the chopping block! Either Petrino was the main problem with this team and the Falcons stun the Bucs, or the Bucs take advantage of a team in disarray. I believe it's going to be the latter.
Buffalo Bills at Cleveland Browns
Eddie – BROWNS
Even though the Bills are playing better I don’t believe they have the offensive weapons to match up with the Browns.
Fred – BROWNS
Toughest pick this week. Even though only two balls went to Lee Evans, it looks like Edwards might finally be using his best weapon. But, the Browns are at home and they almost guaranteed to put up 20+ points, which Buffalo has only done 3 times this year.
Jacksonville Jaguars at Pittsburgh Steelers
Eddie – JAGUARS
Go look at the records of the week after a team plays the Patriots. Meaning.. Steelers go down.
Fred – STEELERS
The Steelers desperately need Troy Polamalu. They'd definitely win if he was playing. I'm still going with them this week since they're at home. But, it's going to be a really close game.
Arizona Cardinals at New Orleans Saints
Eddie – CARDINALS
Last week Warner throws 5 picks. This week – 5 touchdowns.
Fred – SAINTS
Last week Brees throws 3 TDs and 0 INTs, while Warner throws 3 TDs too, but 5 INTs! Now that Bush isn't hurting the offense, the Saints should continue racking up the wins. The Cardinals have been consistently putting up some huge points though. This game is a shoot-out with the Saints pulling it out in the end.
Seattle Seahawks at Carolina Panthers
Eddie – SEAHAWKS
Just hit the snooze button through this game.
Fred - SEAHAWKS
Even though they still try to run, the Seahawks have figured out that their passing game is lethal. After the BYE week, the Panthers are 1-6 with their only win against the Niners. The Seahawks shred the Panthers.
Indianapolis Colts at Oakland Raiders
Eddie – COLTS
No match for the Colts.
Fred – COLTS
The Raiders offense, a.k.a Fargas, has bruised ribs. The Colts are in playoff form. Easy pick here.
Detroit Lions at San Diego Chargers
Eddie - CHARGERS
Chargers are playing for the playoffs. The Lions are playing for……
Fred - CHARGERS
At 10 points, the spread is little high on this game. Philip Rivers is due for a great game, and it should be this one. Though I believe the Lions will hold their own and keep it close.
Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys
Eddie - EAGLES
Westbrook will need to have a good game and he will.
Fred - COWBOYS
Dallas had a scare last week, and the words "T.O." were not uttered during SportsCenter or any of the other highlight shows. T.O. goes off, and the Cowboys and Eagles put up a ton of points, with the Cowboys putting up more.
Washington Redskins at New York Giants
Eddie - GIANTS
For once – the Giants are holding it together at the end of the season.
Fred - REDSKINS
It's probably just a coincidence, but the Giants are 3-3 at home and 6-1 on the road. The Redskins and backup QB Todd Collins gets the Skins offense going and take care of She-Li and the Giants. Upset pick #3!
Monday, December 17 2007
Chicago Bears at Minnesota Vikings
Eddie – VIKINGS
The world is introduced to the Man-Child on Monday night.
Fred – VIKINGS
Last week, Adrian Peterson was held in check by the Niners defense. WHAT!?!? This week, they play on Monday night, under the lights, with everyone watching. AP rushes for over 150 yards and 2 TDs. That Kyle Orton magic from 2005 doesn't re-appear. The Bears get pummeled.
Thursday, December 13 2007
Denver Broncos at Houston Texans
Eddie – BRONCOS
Broncos are playing too good right now plus the Texans are lacking a consistent running game.
Fred – BRONCOS
Sage and the Texans won last week, but not this week. Denver's offense is clicking and trying to make a playoff run.

2007 NFL Week 14
2007 NFL Week 14
Thursday, December 06 2007
Chicago Bears at Washington Redskins
Eddie – BEARS
Skins are just falling apart and I don't see how they can have the mental toughness to finish this season on a positive note.
Fred – REDSKINS
Toughest pick this week. Going with Redskins because of the home field advantage.
Sunday, December 09 2007
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Houston Texans
Eddie – BUCCANEERS
All aboard. The Tampa Bay Bandwagon train leaves at 1:00
Fred – BUCCANEERS
With or without Garcia, Bucs are a darn good team. And I just can’t pick a team with a QB named Sage.
St. Louis Rams at Cincinnati Bengals
Eddie – BENGALS
High scoring affair with a bounce back week for Palmer
Fred – BENGALS
Palmer and Ocho Cinco are due for another big game. Bengals score 40ish and the Rams score 30ish.
Miami Dolphins at Buffalo Bills
Eddie – BILLS
Bills are playing for a playoff spot and seem to be all on the same page.
Fred – BILLS
Bills win this ugly game. Miami’s going to get its 1st win next week.
Oakland Raiders at Green Bay Packers
Eddie – PACKERS
Raiders are trying out players for next year. The Packers are contenders this year.
Fred – PACKERS
Green Bay wins, but the Raiders keep it close.
New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles
Eddie – EAGLES
The monkey is on Eli's back once again and the Eagles defense will look good at home.
Fred – EAGLES
McNabb is back and he proves why he’s a future Hall of Fame QB.
Carolina Panthers at Jacksonville Jaguars
Eddie – JAGUARS
Hope you enjoyed your win last week Carolina because you won't get one this week.
Fred – JAGUARS
Are you kidding me? Biggest blowout of the week here.
Dallas Cowboys at Detroit Lions
Eddie – COWBOYS
The Lions are now kittens and the Detriot mojo is gone.
Fred – COWBOYS
Detroit is due for a breakout game. Since they don’t have Roy Williams (WR), Detroit doesn’t win, but they give Dallas a scare.
San Diego Chargers at Tennessee Titans
Eddie – TITANS
This defense is good and will stop the once high-powered San Diego offense.
Fred – CHARGERS
Rivers is due for a big game and LT has found a rhythm. San Diego lights up the Titans defense.
Minnesota Vikings at San Francisco 49ers
Eddie – VIKINGS
A.P. is poetry in motion and the 49ers will get to experience this. How lucky are they.
Fred - VIKINGS
Peterson and Taylor continue running crazy and score a ton of points. Niners offense looks pathetic again.
Arizona Cardinals at Seattle Seahawks
Eddie – SEAHAWKS
Seattle is a tough team to beat at home.
Fred – SEAHAWKS
It’s in Seattle, so Seahawks win.
Kansas City Chiefs at Denver Broncos
Eddie - BRONCOS
It's time man up Denver!!!!!
Fred - BRONCOS
It’s in Denver, so Broncos win.
Cleveland Browns at New York Jets
Eddie - BROWNS
Don't lose it now Cleveland . You have a date with the Wild Card.
Fred - BROWNS
Braylon appears to be okay, so the Browns put up 30+ points and outscore the Jets.
Pittsburgh Steelers at New England Patriots
Eddie - PATRIOTS
After the last two weeks it's easy to want to pick Pittsburgh but I have a feeling we'll see a strong outing from Brady and co.
Fred - STEELERS
This is it. I’ve got a gut feeling. New England finally gets its 1st loss.
Indianapolis Colts at Baltimore Ravens
Eddie - COLTS
It took a lot for the Ravens to get up for last weekend's game against the Patriots so this week will be a natural emotional letdown.
Fred - COLTS
Ravens are too weak at QB, WRs/TEs (except Mason), and defensive backs. They are also still distraught from last week’s loss. Colts destroy them.
Monday, December 10 2007
New Orleans Saints at Atlanta Falcons
Eddie – SAINTS
I can't believe this is a Monday night game but I know what we won't see from the Saints.. we won't see another trick play in the final minutes of the 4th quarter.
Fred – SAINTS
Last time on Monday night, the Saints didn’t show up. This time they do.
Thursday, December 06 2007
Chicago Bears at Washington Redskins
Eddie – BEARS
Skins are just falling apart and I don't see how they can have the mental toughness to finish this season on a positive note.
Fred – REDSKINS
Toughest pick this week. Going with Redskins because of the home field advantage.

Palmer and Ocho Cinco are due for another big game. Bengals score 40ish and the Rams score 30ish.
Miami Dolphins at Buffalo Bills
Eddie – BILLS
Bills are playing for a playoff spot and seem to be all on the same page.
Fred – BILLS
Bills win this ugly game. Miami’s going to get its 1st win next week.
Oakland Raiders at Green Bay Packers
Eddie – PACKERS
Raiders are trying out players for next year. The Packers are contenders this year.
Fred – PACKERS
Green Bay wins, but the Raiders keep it close.
New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles
Eddie – EAGLES
The monkey is on Eli's back once again and the Eagles defense will look good at home.
Fred – EAGLES
McNabb is back and he proves why he’s a future Hall of Fame QB.
Carolina Panthers at Jacksonville Jaguars
Eddie – JAGUARS
Hope you enjoyed your win last week Carolina because you won't get one this week.
Fred – JAGUARS
Are you kidding me? Biggest blowout of the week here.
Dallas Cowboys at Detroit Lions
Eddie – COWBOYS
The Lions are now kittens and the Detriot mojo is gone.
Fred – COWBOYS
Detroit is due for a breakout game. Since they don’t have Roy Williams (WR), Detroit doesn’t win, but they give Dallas a scare.
San Diego Chargers at Tennessee Titans
Eddie – TITANS
This defense is good and will stop the once high-powered San Diego offense.
Fred – CHARGERS
Rivers is due for a big game and LT has found a rhythm. San Diego lights up the Titans defense.
Minnesota Vikings at San Francisco 49ers
Eddie – VIKINGS
A.P. is poetry in motion and the 49ers will get to experience this. How lucky are they.
Fred - VIKINGS
Peterson and Taylor continue running crazy and score a ton of points. Niners offense looks pathetic again.
Arizona Cardinals at Seattle Seahawks
Eddie – SEAHAWKS
Seattle is a tough team to beat at home.
Fred – SEAHAWKS
It’s in Seattle, so Seahawks win.
Kansas City Chiefs at Denver Broncos
Eddie - BRONCOS
It's time man up Denver!!!!!
Fred - BRONCOS
It’s in Denver, so Broncos win.
Cleveland Browns at New York Jets
Eddie - BROWNS
Don't lose it now Cleveland . You have a date with the Wild Card.
Fred - BROWNS
Braylon appears to be okay, so the Browns put up 30+ points and outscore the Jets.
Pittsburgh Steelers at New England Patriots
Eddie - PATRIOTS
After the last two weeks it's easy to want to pick Pittsburgh but I have a feeling we'll see a strong outing from Brady and co.
Fred - STEELERS
This is it. I’ve got a gut feeling. New England finally gets its 1st loss.
Indianapolis Colts at Baltimore Ravens
Eddie - COLTS
It took a lot for the Ravens to get up for last weekend's game against the Patriots so this week will be a natural emotional letdown.
Fred - COLTS
Ravens are too weak at QB, WRs/TEs (except Mason), and defensive backs. They are also still distraught from last week’s loss. Colts destroy them.
Monday, December 10 2007
New Orleans Saints at Atlanta Falcons
Eddie – SAINTS
I can't believe this is a Monday night game but I know what we won't see from the Saints.. we won't see another trick play in the final minutes of the 4th quarter.
Fred – SAINTS
Last time on Monday night, the Saints didn’t show up. This time they do.

2007 NFL Week 13
2007 NFL Week 13
Thursday November 29, 2007
Green Bay Packers at Dallas Cowboys
Eddie – COWBOYS
Favre can’t win in Dallas. What makes you think he’ll do it against a 10-1 Dallas team?
Fred – PACKERS
If their 2nd shutdown CB Woodson plays, Packers definitely win. Else, they may barely squeak out the win in Dallas. Upset #1!
Sunday December 2, 2007
San Diego Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs
Eddie – CHIEFS
Well what do you know – the Chiefs don’t need Larry Johnson.
Fred – CHARGERS
Brodie stinks and if the rookie RB Kolby Smith has another big game, he’ll be one of the hottest RBs for the rest of the fantasy season. That shouldn’t happen against the Chargers, but who knows what you get from those guys week-to-week. I’ll roll the dice again and go with the Bolts.
Detroit Lions at Minnesota Vikings
Eddie – LIONS
Detroit needs this game to stay in the wildcard hunt.
Fred – VIKINGS
Adrian Peterson #1 is back. Losing their last three games, something is wrong in Detroit. Peterson and Chester run for over 300 yards combined and win this one.
Atlanta Falcons at St. Louis Rams
Eddie – RAMS
Which QB starts for the Falcons this time?
Fred – RAMS
I don’t know which coach I respect the least, Herm Edwards or Bobby Petrino. So much talent in one RB, that’s still riding pine. Even without “The Bulge”, Steven Jackson gains a sick amount of rushing and receiving yards and beats the Falcons.
Jacksonville Jaguars at Indianapolis Colts
Eddie – COLTS
Look for a huge dose of Addai and Keith as the Colts win a close one over the Jags.
Fred – COLTS
Jags are on fire right now and the Colts are without one of their stud WRs and DE for the season. Since Colts are at home, they barely beat the en fuego Jags.
San Francisco 49ers at Carolina Panthers
Eddie – PANTHERS
Panthers FINALLY win a home game.
Fred – 49ERS
Being a Niners fan, I’m ashamed of myself for picking against them last week. But, it’s been a rough Week 3 and beyond this year. Now that the Niners offense has finally clicked, they should hopefully carry that success over against a QB-less Panthers team. Upset #2!
Seattle Seahawks at Philadelphia Eagles
Eddie – EAGLES
Tough choice so I give the nod to the home team.
Fred – EAGLES
My gut tells me to pick the Seahawks, but I’m going to believe the hype and go with the Eagles at home. Eagles have to win to keep their playoff hopes alive.
Houston Texans at Tennessee Titans
Eddie – TEXANS
Vince Young is falling apart. Madden curse someone?
Fred – TEXANS
This entire time, I’ve had it all wrong. It’s not Vince Young = Win. It’s Haynesworth = Win. Without him, the Titans have stunk. Texans win this one. Upset #3!
Buffalo Bills at Washington Redskins
Eddie – REDSKINS
The question is – which emotion from the death of Sean Taylor will they use to play this Sunday. It’s going to be tough to get ready for this game but they pull it out in honor of #21.
Fred – REDSKINS
Bills are hurting bad at Running Back. If it wasn’t for costly mistakes, Redskins would have whooped the Bucs last week. Redskins easily beat the Bills.
New York Jets at Miami Dolphins
Eddie – JETS
Rookie QB. No RB. Rookie WR. Umm…. Jets please.
Fred – JETS
Dolphins have to win one eventually, but it won’t be this one. They’ll get their first win in Week 15 against the Ravens. Jets have to have Coles and Cotchery though. If either of them misses this game, they may have a chance of winning. Upset #4!
Denver Broncos at Oakland Raiders
Eddie - BRONCOS
Denver needs this game since they blew it in Chicago last weekend.
Fred - BRONCOS
At 5-6, Denver still has a chance to make the playoffs. They destroy Culpepper and the Raiders.
Cleveland Browns at Arizona Cardinals
Eddie - BROWNS
Okay okay… so I’m finally drinking the Brown kool-aid.
Fred - BROWNS
It doesn’t matter that the game is in Arizona. Cleveland puts up points with ease. They outscore the Cardinals in this high scoring affair. At the time of this article, this spread on this game is even.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at New Orleans Saints
Eddie - SAINTS
McCown starting for the Bucs… doubledown on the Saints please.
Fred - SAINTS
Luke McCown at QB and Earnest Graham at RB?!?!? Are you kidding me? Saints should muster up enough points to barely win.
New York Giants at Chicago Bears
Eddie - BEARS
Jacobs isn’t expected to play and the Bears look to make a run for the playoffs.
Fred - BEARS
Adrian Peterson #2 is now the starting RB. Grossman and Berrian are back together. Devin Hester…ok, nuff said. Bears win. Upset #5!
Cincinnati Bengals at Pittsburgh Steelers
Eddie - BENGALS
Palmer and CJ are back baby.
Fred - STEELERS
Palmer finally found Ocho Cinco again. But, the game’s in Pittsburgh on that lovely sod. Steelers win this, but it’s a close one.
Monday December 3, 2007
New England Patriots at Baltimore Ravens
Eddie – PATRIOTS
Let’s go 16-0…
Fred – PATRIOTS
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! Tirico, Jaws, and Kornheiser talk about how Belichick is a genius, and Billick should no longer do the offensive play calling.
Thursday November 29, 2007
Green Bay Packers at Dallas Cowboys
Eddie – COWBOYS
Favre can’t win in Dallas. What makes you think he’ll do it against a 10-1 Dallas team?

2007 NFL Week 12
2007 NFL Week 12
Most of my upset picks have come down to the wire and it is killing my statistics. The Redskins should have won that game last week and how about that field goal to the end the game in Cleveland.
Also, a quick shout out to Molly Qerim. Thanks for all the fantasy football advice.
Happy Thanksgiving to our Visitors. We thank you for visiting the site on a weekly basis. - Eddie
Thursday November 22, 2007
Green Bay Packers at Detroit Lions
Eddie – PACKERS
Green Bay is 5-11-1 in Detroit on Thanksgiving Day. The Lions seem to own this day. All arrows point to the Lions but not this Turkey Day.
Fred – PACKERS
Best team in the NFC rolls the Lions.
New York Jets at Dallas Cowboys
Eddie – COWBOYS
Can the Jets make it two upsets in a row? Nope.
Fred – COWBOYS
In “Big D”, Jets have no chance
Indianapolis Colts at Atlanta Falcons
Eddie – COLTS
The only way the Falcons win is if Peyton Manning misses his flight.
Fred – COLTS
Even an injured Colts team will beat the snot out of the Falcons
Sunday November 25, 2007
Tennessee Titans at Cincinnati Bengals
Eddie – BENGALS
It’s hard to come back from a tough mental loss especially after a road game going into another road game.
Fred – BENGALS
Toughest pick this week. Cincy has no chance of making the playoffs now. Gotta go with Vince Young.
Washington Redskins at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Eddie – REDSKINS
If I just keep picking the Skins they’re bound to win one of these weeks.
Fred – REDSKINS
Redskins are ready to begin a playoff run. Bucs get destroyed. Upset #1.
New Orleans Saints at Carolina Panthers
Eddie – SAINTS
C’mon Breez and Bush – let’s not turn this team back to the Aints.
Fred – SAINTS
No win for Saints = No playoffs chances. Saints win.
Minnesota Vikings at New York Giants
Eddie – VIKINGS
The G-men are banged up and always seem to lose it in the second half. This officially starts that streak.
Fred – GIANTS
G-men dominate the Adrian Peterson-less team
Buffalo Bills at Jacksonville Jaguars
Eddie – JAGUARS
Like I said last week – this is the team to watch out for.
Fred – JAGUARS
With Garrard at QB, Jags look really friggin’ good
Houston Texans at Cleveland Browns
Eddie – TEXANS
Okay – so I’m drinking the Schaub and Andre Johnson kool-aid.
Fred – TEXANS
Upset #2! With Schaub at QB and AJ at WR, Houston is no joke!
Seattle Seahawks at St. Louis Rams
Eddie – RAMS
Well would you look at that – a mini winning streak for the Rams.
Fred – SEAHAWKS
Seattle’s like a wannabe Packers team…tons of WR weapons and a decent running game. St. Louis won’t be able to score enough to win this one.
Oakland Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs
Eddie – RAIDERS
The Chiefs are down to a rookie running back. Way to get this team ready Herm Edwards.
Fred – RAIDERS
Upset #3! No LJ or Priest, and Brodie at QB?!?!? The Raiders barely win this ugly one.
San Francisco 49ers at Arizona Cardinals
Eddie – CARDINALS
While Arizona is starting to look better – the 49ers are only getting worse.
Fred – CARDINALS
Niners offense STINKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cardinals beat the pulp out of them.
Denver Broncos at Chicago Bears
Eddie - BRONCOS
This is an opportunity for the Broncos to capitalize on a weak division.
Fred - BEARS
Denver’s come on strong as of late, but Chicago needs this to keep playoff hopes alive
Baltimore Ravens at San Diego Chargers
Eddie - RAVENS
I don’t care if this is in Sunny Cali FORN I A – Norv has screwed this offense up. The Ravens want revenge.
Fred - CHARGERS
Chargers players ignore everything Norv has to say, and they go out and crush the Ravens
Philadelphia Eagles at New England Patriots
Eddie - PATRIOTS
I heard on Colin Cowherd’s radio show today that some of the Vegas bookies have taken the Patriots off the books. WOW.
Fred - PATRIOTS
LOL!!!!!! The spread on this game is 22 points! LOL!!!!!!!!

Miami Dolphins at Pittsburgh Steelers

Yet another trap game for Pittsburgh. They should make it out alive this time though.

Eddie – GIANTS
I think after this game we are going to feel sorry for Kitna as he is going to take a beating.

Negative team rushing yardage last week for the Lions means Mike Martz didn’t get any sleep this week. He puts together an offensive scheme that makes all Lions offensive players fantasy football owners get together and build a shrine for him. Upset #1!
San Diego Chargers at Jacksonville Jaguars
Eddie – JAGUARS
Watch out NFL. Nobody is talking about the team we should be. Jags pounce on the Bolts.

As stated in previous weeks, Vince Young = Win. Upset #5!

2007 NFL Week 10
We are without Fred this week so hopefully I'll put up some good numbers.
Sunday November 11, 2007
Minnesota Vikings at Green Bay Packers
Eddie – PACKERS
The Vikings run defense is stout. But guess what? The Packers can’t run anyways. The only answer for Favre is Peterson. But can the rookie keep pace?
Fred –
Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers
Eddie – STEELERS
Lewis won’t get 4 touchdowns this Sunday as Pittsburgh introduces Cleveland to reality.
Fred –
St. Louis Rams at New Orleans Saints
Eddie – RAMS
Everything points for a Saints victory so we’ll just call this pick a hunch. Jackson is back healthy and proves how valuable he really is to the Rams.
Fred –
Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs
Eddie – BRONCOS
The Broncos will stack the box and see if the Priest still has some 2004 left in him. They’ll quickly find out that he isn’t what he used to be.
Fred –
Jacksonville Jaguars at Tennessee Titans
Eddie – JAGUARS
Clash of the ………. JAGS.
Fred –
Buffalo Bills at Miami Dolphins
Eddie – Dolphins
After this Sunday we will not have anymore winless teams in the NFL this year.
Fred –
Philadelphia Eagles at Washington Redskins
Eddie – REDSKINGS
Both of these teams look like complete garbage. Home garbage is better than away garbage.
Fred –
Atlanta Falcons at Carolina Panthers
Eddie – PANTHERS
Wow. This game should be great for television ratings.
Fred –
Cincinnati Bengals at Baltimore Ravens
Eddie – BENGALS
Ravens have a short week to try and bounce back from a horrible game.
Fred –
Chicago Bears at Oakland Raiders
Eddie – BEARS
Only because the answer to the Raiders is not Fargas.
Fred –
Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants
Eddie – COWBOYS
I know the Giants are on a roll but the Boys are the real G-men.
Fred –
Detroit Lions at Arizona Cardinals
Eddie – LIONS
Momentum is key and the Lions have it.
Fred –
Indianapolis Colts at San Diego Chargers
Eddie - COLTS
When is the last time the Colts lost two in a row?
Fred -
Monday November 5, 2007
San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks
Eddie – SEATTLE
I really want to say the 49ers but they just can’t seem to get it together.
Fred –
Sunday November 11, 2007

2007 NFL Week 9
2007 NFL Week 9
Sunday November 4, 2007
Carolina Panthers at Tennessee Titans
Eddie – TITANS
I didn’t give enough credit to the Titans’ defense last week. I won’t make the same mistake this weekend.
Fred – TITANS
Just like the last two weeks…Vince Young = win. Especially with Carr at QB for the Panthers.
Denver Broncos at Detroit Lions
Eddie – BRONCOS
I just think Denver has a better overall team.
Fred – LIONS
Detroit has won all there home games so far and this week shouldn’t be any different. A healthy Kevin Jones has taken this team to the next level. Forget all the talk about Champ and Dre Bly…as a whole, Denver’s defense isn’t that good.
San Diego Chargers at Minnesota Vikings
Eddie – CHARGERS
If the Vikings had any resemblance of a passing game this would be a tough game to pick.
Fred – CHARGERS
Chargers are fresh out the oven, piping hot right now. Against the pass-incompetent Vikings, they should easily win this one.
Jacksonville Jaguars at New Orleans Saints
Eddie – SAINTS
Brees, Colston, and Bush are playing with something to prove.
Fred – JAGUARS
Jags are 3-0 away…and they’ve won in Denver, KC and Tampa Bay!!! The Saints are also on fire winning the last 3 games…but it was against the Seahawks, Falcons and Niners. Jags win…upset #1!
Washington Redskins at New York Jets
Eddie – REDSKINS
Redskins need to prove they are NFL worthy after a beat down they got last weekend.
Fred – REDSKINS
Clemens is finally the starting QB for the Jets, but the Redskins want revenge for the thumping they took last week.
San Francisco 49ers at Atlanta Falcons
Eddie – 49ers
Fred – FALCONS
Niners offense is absolutely horrible. It’s a shame such a talented player like Gore has to go through this torture. Off a bye week, the Falcons win because the Niners stink up the joint with their pathetic “offensive” plays.
Arizona Cardinals at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Eddie – CARDINALS
I like the new face of the Cardinals and I think they are a better team than the Bucs.
Fred – BUCCANEERS
In their 3 wins this year, the Cardinals barely beat St. Louis and Seattle…and Whisenhunt beat his former team. The Bucs are just plainly a better team.
Green Bay Packers at Kansas City Chiefs
Eddie – CHIEFS
Coming off a bye and in Arrowhead.. watch out Farvruh.
Fred – PACKERS
Packers just found a good “one cut, hit the hole” RB to complement their amazing passing offense. Off a bye week, the Chiefs will be competitive, but not enough to win. Upset #2!
Cincinnati Bengals at Buffalo Bills
Eddie – BENGALS
Palmer should have a field day against the Bills.
Fred – BENGALS
J.P. is back! But, so is Rudi. The entire Cincy offense racks up the yards and points and outscores the Bills.
Seattle Seahawks at Cleveland Browns
Eddie – BROWNS
Winslow and Braylon are making the Browns looks sexy again. I can’t believe I’m actually picking the Browns to win.
Fred – BROWNS
Toss a coin on this one. I’m going with Cleveland only because of home field advantage.
Houston Texans at Oakland Raiders
Eddie – TEXANS
Yet another  game
Fred – RAIDERS
McCown is back at QB and Fargas will be getting a lot more carries. The Texans skilled offensive players are plagued with injuries. It’s just not meant to be for the Texans to win this one.
New England Patriots at Indianapolis Colts
Eddie – COLTS
Score 35-14. Brady throws two picks.
Fred – PATRIOTS
The regular season game of the year! But, no Marvin, no way! Since it’s in Indy, this game should be either won, or lost, on a final drive at the end of the game.
Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles
Eddie - COWBOYS
Dallas’ offense is too much for the Eagles to handle.
Fred - COWBOYS
Fresh off a bye week, the Dallas Cowboys come into a hostile Philly and barely pull out the victory. They’re the best team in the NFC and want to prove it to everyone on Sunday night.
Monday November 5, 2007
Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers
Eddie – STEELERS
This should be a good defensive battle.
Fred – STEELERS
The Ravens are well rested and going into Pittsburgh on Monday night. They don’t win, but they keep it exciting.
Sunday November 4, 2007
Carolina Panthers at Tennessee Titans
Eddie – TITANS
I didn’t give enough credit to the Titans’ defense last week. I won’t make the same mistake this weekend.

2007 NFL Week 8
2007 NFL Week 8
Sunday October 28, 2007
Oakland Raiders at Tennessee Titans
Eddie – RAIDERS
The Titans won an emotional game against the Texans last week but the Raiders are a different team. Some may call this an upset but the Raiders have the better team.
Fred – TITANS
Just like I said last week, Vince Young = a Win. And he didn’t even play last week! His presence on the sideline was enough.
Indianapolis Colts at Carolina Panthers
Eddie – COLTS
In 2003 the Colts came off a short week looking to stay undefeated. Deja-Vu. This year they play the Panthers looking to stay undefeated. Unlike 2003 though the Colts will win this time.
Fred – COLTS
It’s meant to be for the two best teams in the NFL to be undefeated when they play each other in Week 9.
New York Giants at Miami Dolphins
Eddie – GIANTS
The Giants can only lose this game if they beat themselves.
Fred – GIANTS
It’s the Patriots, but c’mon! The Dolphins looked like a pee wee league football team against them last week. The Giants are still hot and will definitely get the “W” on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean.
Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears
Eddie – LIONS
The Lions appear to have their running game established with Jones back in the mix. This will help keep the Bears defense honest.
Fred – BEARS
In their previous game this year, Detroit put up 37 points against the Bears. They want revenge, and they are at home this time. The Bears win, but it’s an extremely close game.
Cleveland Browns at St. Louis Rams
Eddie – RAMS
Welcome back S Jax and let’s all congratulate the Rams for their first win.
Fred – RAMS
In 6 games, Cleveland is averaging 1 sack per game, which is tied for 3rd worst in the NFL. Bulger should finally have time to complete his passes and will have S-Jax in the backfield again. Upset pick #1!
Philadelphia Eagles at Minnesota Vikings
Eddie – VIKINGS
Peterson will “Fly like an Eagle” as the hungry Vikings will look to dominate the defensive side of the ball.
Fred – EAGLES
The loser of this game will be 2-5, and probably not have a chance at a wild card bid for the playoffs. The Eagles have more veteran players, and a better coach. They pull this one out.
Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals
Eddie – BENGALS
Steelers should dominate the game especially after an upset in Denver but because this is a divisional rival I’m going with the Bengals’ upset.
Fred – STEELERS
Bengals defense is horrific so the Steelers will win in a high scoring game.
Jacksonville Jaguars at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Eddie – BUCCANEERS
No Garrard no win.
Fred – BUCCANEERS
If Garrard was the QB, it’d be an easy pick. But, with a QB that has no control of that arm, it’s going to be easy for the Bucs to stack the box and prevent Taylor and MJD from running wild.
Houston Texans at San Diego Chargers
Eddie – CHARGERS
The Chargers will be playing to help relieve the stress of their city. Expect a major blowout.
Fred – CHARGERS
Chargers are off a bye week and Texans have yet another injured player…their starting QB. Even if Schaub plays, there’s no way they can win this one. The Chargers are refreshed and going to want to win this one for their city.
Buffalo Bills at New York Jets
Eddie – JETS
Man-Genuis should have started Clemens several weeks ago. Although he may not get the start he’ll win this game for the J-E-T-S .. JETS JETS JETS
Fred – JETS
Pennington gets pulled from Clemens and the Jets comeback and win.
Washington Redskins at New England Patriots
Eddie – PATRIOTS
This is getting ridiculous.
Fred – PATRIOTS
Refer to comment above.
New Orleans Saints at San Francisco 49ers
Eddie – SAINTS
The Saints have the momentum and it appears Brees is back on track.
Fred – 49ers
As of right now, it appears Gore is playing. With Alex Smith back, and the game in San Fran, they should barely win this one. Upset pick #2!
Monday October 29, 2007
Green Bay Packers at Denver Broncos
Eddie – BRONCOS
Broncos at home are a tough team to beat. Ask last week’s Steelers.
Fred – PACKERS
Off a bye week, and on a Monday night, the Packers secondary will put the clamps down on the Denver passing game and pull out the upset. Upset pick #3!
Sunday October 28, 2007
Oakland Raiders at Tennessee Titans
Eddie – RAIDERS
The Titans won an emotional game against the Texans last week but the Raiders are a different team. Some may call this an upset but the Raiders have the better team.

2007 NFL Week 7
2007 NFL Week 7
Sunday October 21, 2007
Atlanta Falcons at New Orleans Saints
Eddie – SAINTS
The Saints may not be marching in but they’ll walk over the Falcons.
Fred – SAINTS
The Saints aren’t that bad and they have got to start a winning streak now. Leftwich gets his feet wet as a starter in his first game as a Falcon, and the Saints D takes advantage.
Baltimore Ravens at Buffalo Bills
Eddie – RAVENS
While the offense is trying to come together the defense of the Ravens continues to be the glue for this team. The Bills are no match.
Fred – BUFFALO
Buffalo is fresh off a bye week, playing at home, against the Ravens backup QB. Boller’s going to have a shaky start, and the Bills will exploit it enough to take an early lead and keep it. Upset pick #1!
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Detroit Lions
Eddie – LIONS
After a bye the Lions need this win. They need to keep pace with the Packers and try to stay ahead of an emerging Bears team.
Fred – LIONS
Also fresh off of a bye week, Detroit’s defense rattles Garcia and their chaotic offense finds a way to rack up just enough points to barely beat Tampa Bay.
Arizona Cardinals at Washington Redskins
Eddie – REDSKINS
Tim who?
Fred – REDSKINS
No matter who’s at QB, Arizona’s offense makes up for the shotty performance last week, but it won’t enough to beat Washington. The Skins barely win this one.
Tennessee Titans at Houston Texans
Eddie – TEXANS
A.J. should be back. Green is back. The Texans are back.
Fred – TEXANS
No Vince Young = No Win. Upset pick #2!
San Francisco 49ers at New York Giants
Eddie – GIANTS
Eli looks like a different QB this year and if I can see I know the team can feel it. They prove this as the Giants improve their win streak to 5.
Fred – GIANTS
Trent Dilfer as QB = No Win.
New England Patriots at Miami Dolphins
Eddie – PATRIOTS
No comment.
Fred – PATRIOTS
A team with a decent backup QB as the starter, just lost his #1 WR/TE target and is playing against the best team in the NFL. Hmmm…
Kansas City Chiefs at Oakland Raiders
Eddie – CHIEFS
I think the offense is finally starting to gel and we might even get to see Priest Holmes play. Lamont Jordan is playing injured and D.C. looks like he’s having to learn how to play the QB position all over again.
Fred – CHIEFS
Even though it’s in Oakland, the Chiefs offense finally had a great game. LJ, Gonzo and crew are hungry for more.
New York Jets at Cincinnati Bengals
Eddie – BENGALS
This is the last week I pick the Bengals if they lose once again.
Fred – BENGALS
Bengals go 1-5 by losing to team currently at 1-5? Impossible! Bengals score at least 5 TDs and easily beat the Jets.
St. Louis Rams at Seattle Seahawks
Eddie – SEAHAWKS
With Bulger coming back it starts the process of the Rams offense being healthy but they are still missing too many pieces.
Fred – SEAHAWKS
St. Louis has to win a game eventually, but it won’t be until S-Jax gets back.
Minnesota Vikings at Dallas Cowboys
Eddie – COWBOYS
The manchild gets his dose of reality in Dallas.
Fred – COWBOYS
Can Adrian Peterson repeat that amazing performance from last week? Yes he can, but the Cowboys offense as a whole will outperform AP.
Chicago Bears at Philadelphia Eagles
Eddie – EAGLES
The Bears defense is no longer the DA BEARS DEFENSE. McNabb and Co. should have a field day.
Fred – EAGLES
Bears D is not what it used to be. McNabb, Westbrook and crew have their way, and get the W.
Pittsburgh Steelers at Denver Broncos
Eddie – STEELERS
Fast Willie Parker will exploit Denver’s weakness and carry this team to a victory.
Fred – STEELERS
Without Javon, the Broncos have the lost the last 3 games. The streak continues this week.
Monday October 22, 2007
Indianapolis Colts at Jacksonville Jaguars
Eddie – COLTS
Colts just have too much firepower for the Jags.
Fred – COLTS
The Jags go up against a team averaging 32.8 points per game. And this team has played against some great defenses (Tampa Bay, Tennessee, etc.). Lastly, they’re fresh off a bye week. Even though the spread is tiny, this is an easy pick.
Sunday October 21, 2007
Atlanta Falcons at New Orleans Saints
Eddie – SAINTS
The Saints may not be marching in but they’ll walk over the Falcons.

2007 NFL Week 6
2007 NFL Week 6
Sunday October 14, 2007
Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears
Eddie – BEARS
The only sort of offense the Vikings have is the rookie Adrian Peterson. Is that enough to beat the Bears in Chicago? You’ve answered your own question…….
Fred – VIKINGS
Upset pick #1! Fresh off of a bye week, Peterson and Vikings Defense come into Chicago and eek out the victory against the questionable Bears offense.
Tennessee Titans at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Eddie – TITANS
Titans are 2-0 on the road. The Bucs are 2-0 at home. The Bucs are 0-1 non-conference and the Titans are 2-0 non-conference. Which team will break first? I like the Titans.
Fred – TITANS
Both defenses are playing great, so that’s a wash. Even though the Titans looked absolutely terrible on offense last week, they still won the game. Along with losing another starting RB, the Bucs didn’t look very good either on offense, and they got blown out last week. This logic tells me that the Titans win.
Miami Dolphins at Cleveland Browns
Eddie – BROWNS
I actually like the new Miami QB. He seemed to be more athletic than Green but at 0-5 they have more issues to address than just the QB problem. The Dolphins won’t go 0-16 but they also won’t get their first win in the Dog Pound.
Fred – BROWNS
Cleveland now has the worst defense in the league (424.4 yards per game against). The winless Dolphins lost their starting QB last week. Who’s worse off? Since they’re at home, and it looks like Jason Wright will be their RB this week, Cleveland should win in a close one.
St. Louis Rams at Baltimore Ravens
Eddie – RAMS
I just think it’s a matter of time people see the Ravens for who they are. They are who you think they are… but the Rams won’t let them off the hook.
Fred – RAVENS
Gus zipped in through the air much better than Bulger has most of the season. The Ravens won last week, but didn’t dominate a pathetic Niners team…and they should have. This week, the Ravens get it together on both sides of the ball, and at home, McNair and McGahee rack up the stats and the Ravens win.
Houston Texans at Jacksonville Jaguars
Eddie – JAGUARS
I’ve been impressed with the Jaguars ability to control the game and not make mistakes. I’ll take the Jags in a close game.
Fred – JAGUARS
After winning two away games, and in Denver and KC, the Jags come home to play an injured Texans team whose running game is really hurting without Ahman Green. Jags win and go 4-1.
Washington Redskins at Green Bay Packers
Eddie – PACKERS
The Packers gave away last week’s game and the Skins looked better than they really are. The Packers will use this game to get back on track.
Fred – PACKERS
Green Bay completely outplayed the Bears last week. If it wasn’t for the turnover mistakes by GB, they would have crushed Chicago. The Skins did happen to crush the Lions…but c’mon, it’s the Lions. Campbell’s in for a rude awakening against the GB pass defense…and it’s in Green Bay. Packers easily win this one.
Philadelphia Eagles at New York Jets
Eddie – EAGLES
If the field was only 50 yards and touchdown throws were only 5 yards then Pennington could probably lead the Jets to victory.
Fred – EAGLES
Not sure what’s going on with Mangini in New York. Thomas Jones isn’t being treated as a feature back, and a 5 year old could throw passes further than Pennington has been. Hey Mangini, start Clemens at QB and make sure Jones gets at least 20 carries! Since he won’t be doing that this week, and the Eagles are coming off a bye week with a healthy Westbrook. In the Meadowlands, the Eagles give the Jets a royal butt whoopin’.
Cincinnati Bengals at Kansas City Chiefs
Eddie – BENGALS
Larry Johnson is running… in the other direction with his new contract. The Bengals need this game so expect to see big numbers from Palmer.
Fred – BENGALS
As a rule of thumb, KC is usually money at home. At home so far this year, they barely beat the Vikings and lost to Jacksonville last week. The Bengals had a bye last week and lost the 3 previous games before that. Is a team with Palmer, TJ, and Ocho Cinco bad enough to go 1-4? No friggin’ way. They go into KC with a vengeance and light up the scoreboard.
Carolina Panthers at Arizona Cardinals
Eddie – CARDINALS
I still have no confidence is David Carr. Go with the home team.
Fred – CARDINALS
Carr is not the answer for the Panthers. Kurt Warner is still a beast at QB. If Boldin plays this week, Arizona destroys Carolina. Else, it’s a close game.
Oakland Raiders at San Diego Chargers
Eddie – CHARGERS
Run L.T… runnnnnnnnnnnn.
Fred – CHARGERS
The Chargers kill the Broncos, and in Denver?!?! And Norv is still the head coach? Unbelievable! If the Chargers can overcome all that adversity and destroy Denver, then at home, they should continue the streak and beat down the Raiders.
New England Patriots at Dallas Cowboys
Eddie – COWBOYS
If this game were in New England it would be easier to pick but I really like the Boys this game. I’ll try to use some logic here… The Patriots won’t go 16-0 and might lose weeks 16 and 17 as they rest their starters. With that said, that leaves the Colts and the Cowboys as statement games. They’ll lose to Dallas this week and then beat the Colts later on.
Fred – PATRIOTS
The first big game of the year with two 5-0 teams going head-to-head. Patriots still look unstoppable, while the Cowboys almost blow it to Buffalo. The best team in the NFL wins in Dallas.
New Orleans Saints at Seattle Seahawks
Eddie – SEAHAWKS
Seattle is a hard place to go in and win. Saints are now again the Aints. Go with the Hawks.
Fred – SAINTS
Reggie Bush is due for a few SportsCenter highlights. The Saints have to win a game, and why not against a Seattle team with receiver issues that’s affecting the whole offense. Upset pick #2!
Monday October 15, 2007
New York Giants at Atlanta Falcons
Eddie – GIANTS
So much for Eli’s shoulder injury and Plaxico’s ankle. The G-G-G-men are getting it done.
Fred – GIANTS
With the way he’s coaching this team so far, Petrino looks like he shouldn’t have left the college scene. Petrino, you have an explosive RB that’s dieing to get the carries…play Norwood! In New York, the Giants went from a group of duds (starting season 0-2) to studs (winning next 3 in fashion). The Giants continue their win streak and go 4-2.

2007 NFL Week 5
2007 NFL Week 5
Sunday October 7, 2007
Jacksonville Jaguars at Kansas City Chiefs
Eddie – JAGUARS
Even with the last two victories for the Chiefs I’m still not convinced they have turned things around. The Jags can come in take control of the game like they did against Denver. Chiefs won the last matchup between the two so it’s time for some payback.
Fred – JAGUARS
Jags had a bye last week so their fresh. They also beat the Broncos in Denver in Week 3. After the game this Sunday, they will begin being talked about as another one of the great AFC teams.
Detroit Lions at Washington Redskins
Eddie – LIONS
I’ll keep saying this week in and week out – the Lions’ offense is a machine and the Redskins just can’t match up. The only thing going for the Skins is that this is in DC.
Fred – LIONS
Upset Pick #1…and it’s the only one this week! As of the time of this writing, Santana Moss is highly unlikely to play. With Kevin Jones back, Detroit’s offense is even more potent. They get it done in Washington.
Cleveland Browns at New England Patriots
Eddie – PATRIOTS
Notice to the Browns: The Patriots are not the Bengals or the Ravens.
Fred – PATRIOTS
When the Patriots lose one-to-two games this year, it won’t be at home, and will definitely not be against the Browns.
Carolina Panthers at New Orleans Saints
Eddie – SAINTS
The Saints take advantage of a broken down Carr and ride the bus to a victory.
Fred – SAINTS
After a bye week, can a 2006 “Coach of the Year” figure out how to beat a 2-2 Panthers team with Carr at QB? I would hope so.
New York Jets at New York Giants
Eddie – GIANTS
I thought the loss of Tiki Barber would destroy the Giants. Then when Jacobs went down I figured they were a lock for the number one draft pick next year but the Giants just won’t give up. I’m actually impressed.
Fred – GIANTS
The on-fire Giants team against an offense that couldn’t even rack up the points on the worst defense in the NFL…the Giants should win the “Battle of NY”.
Arizona Cardinals at St. Louis Rams
Eddie – CARDINALS
What a difference a different a head coach can make. Example: San Diego Chargers. Proof – this game’s winner – Cardinals.
Fred – CARDINALS
No S-Jax, a Benched Bulge, and a demoted offensive coordinator…things just don’t look very good in St. Louis. With Gus at QB and someone different calling the plays, they will make it a close game. But, with Warner coming off the bench and Arizona’s pass offense is on the attack, they’ll undoubtedly get more points than the Rams.
Seattle Seahawks at Pittsburgh Steelers
Eddie – STEELERS
This should be a good game but I feel the Steelers will bounce back from a loss to the Cardinals.
Fred – STEELERS
The Seahawks dominated the game last week against the Niners. This week, they travel to Pittsburgh to play an angry Steelers defense. Pittsburgh scores a lot early, holds onto the lead, and gets the “W”.
Atlanta Falcons at Tennessee Titans
Eddie – TITANS
Harrington is starting to show signs of life in an offensive system he thrives in but I think Young and company is too much for the Falcons defense to handle.
Fred – TITANS
In Week 3, the Titans put the smack down on the Saints. Last week, they had a bye. This week, they’re at home against the 1-3 Falcons. The Titans will win in a close one.
Miami Dolphins at Houston Texans
Eddie – TEXANS
This game is for the Texans to show the world they are for real. I like the Texans but in a close win.
Fred – TEXANS
Even without their #1 RB and WR last week, Schaub still had over 300 yards passing. This week he’s going against a defense that let Culpepper score 5 TDs against them last week, and the Jets score 31 points the previous week. Schaub has a huge day and Houston wins in a high-scoring affair.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Indianapolis Colts
Eddie – COLTS
Who can stop the Colts? Well for certain it won’t be Tampa Bay.
Fred – COLTS
The Bucs defense has stepped up. But, even if they have to go without Addai, the Colts pass offense will not be stopped at home.
Baltimore Ravens at San Francisco 49ers
Eddie – RAVENS
The 49ers offense is lost and they won’t find it against a Ravens defense that has something prove.
Fred – RAVENS
Dilfer is the worst starting QB in the league! Even though the Ravens defense has been getting burned in the air, they turn it around this week and get at least 3 interceptions/fumbles and win the game.
San Diego Chargers at Denver Broncos
Eddie – BRONCOS
Huge implications from the results of this game and it won’t be pretty for the losing team.
Fred – BRONCOS
What a disaster in San Diego! How can Norv and the other coaches destroy a 2006 14-2 team? LT has his way with the Denver defense, but it’s not enough to get the victory.
Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers
Eddie – BEARS
The Packers have been riding on an emotional high for the last few weeks and it will be hard to maintain the intensity.
Fred – PACKERS
The Packers look so good right now, and they are having a great time out there. At Lambeau, the streak should continue against a Bears team which is still nicked up on defense.
Monday October 8, 2007
Dallas Cowboys at Buffalo Bills
Eddie – COWBOYS
Dallas meet 5-0. 5-0 meet Dallas.
Fred – COWBOYS
Even though they’re away (and up in Buffalo), the Cowboys have yet another easy win Monday night.

2007 NFL Week 4
First thing - My apologies for us being late. We ran into some network problems at work last night which kept us there for the majority of the evening. With that said - onward to the picks.
2007 NFL Week 4
Sunday September 30, 2007
Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings
Eddie – PACKERS
What can I say? The Packs are 3-0. History will be made during this game so the real question is can Favre withstand the pressure to lead his team to 4-0? I think so.
Fred – PACKERS
Packers are undefeated and had some close, and big, wins. The Vikings are 1-2 and their starting QB is out with injury again. Packers continue rolling and go 4-0.
New York Jets at Buffalo Bills
Eddie – JETS
Divisional rival with both teams playing “Where’s Waldo”. The Jets may have found a niche and the Bills just keep taking hit after hit. Something tells me to go with the home team but I still like Pennington and the Jets.
Fred – JETS
The Bills have a rookie QB, a stud WR will less than 80 receiving for the year. What the heck’s going on in Buffalo? The Jets racked up some huge points against Miami last week, and should do the same this week. The Jets take advantage of the situation and get the victory.
Oakland Raiders at Miami Dolphins
Eddie – DOLPHINS
The Raiders broke their losing streak last week just in time to start another one. Hey Miami – see what happens when you give the rock to Ronnie Brown? He scores.
Fred – DOLPHINS
Culpepper as the starting QB for the Raiders for the 1st time = Raiders lose. If he even becomes a good QB again, it’s going to take him time to do so. Cameron finally let Ronnie Brown be the main focal point on the offense last week and they almost won. He should continue to do so.
Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions
Eddie – LIONS
I can’t believe I paused for a couple of minutes to actually consider taking the Lions. In fact I am going to take them. The Bears defense is good but the Lions have too many weapons not to mention Griese hasn’t started a game in two years.
Fred – LIONS
The Bears will be missing both of their starting CBs against the Lions ridiculous pass offense. Upset pick #1
Houston Texans at Atlanta Falcons
Eddie – TEXANS
Houston comes to Atlanta and Schaub rubs it into the face of the Falcons that they should have kept him.
Fred – FALCONS
Atlanta has to win a game this year and now’s a good opportunity, at home, against a team missing their #1 RB and WR. Upset pick #2
St. Louis Rams at Dallas Cowboys
Eddie – COWBOYS
The offense of the Rams has been injured on the battle field. Their season is over and the woes continue in Dallas.
Fred – COWBOYS
No Stephen Jackson, an ailing Bulger and offensive line…the Rams are banged up. The Cowboys, on the other hand, are playing like the best team in the NFC. The Cowboys collect another “W”.
Baltimore Ravens at Cleveland Browns
Eddie – RAVENS
Be careful Baltimore. Look what they did to the Bengals.
Fred – RAVENS
Jamal Lewis is going to want to rack up some yardage against his former team. But, there’s a problem. That defense is still really friggin’ good, while he is not. The Ravens win, but in a close one.
Pittsburgh Steelers at Arizona Cardinals
Eddie – STEELERS
No doubt the Arizona staff has improved the Cardinals team but they aren’t that good especially when they have to bring Warner in to jumpstart the offense.
Fred – STEELERS
Since Hines Ward is probably out, if Kurt Warner was the starting QB, I’d pick the Cardinals to get the upset. But that isn’t the case, so the Steelers defense has its way with Arizona and wins the game.
Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers
Eddie – SEAHAWKS
And I had so much hope for the 49ers this year. Norv Turner has managed to screw up two teams in one year.
Fred – 49ers
Niners offense looks putrid and the Seahawks offense looks great. Seattle wins? Nope. Alex Smith knows that the weight is on his shoulders, so he finally steps up and has a good game. Niners win…upset pick #3.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Carolina Panthers
Eddie – PANTHERS
Here are two teams that have caught me by surprise. I like the Panthers at home as Foster runs over the Bucs in a close game.
Fred – PANTHERS
Carolina is turning out to be a good all around team. Tampa Bay has been one of the surprises thus far.
Kansas City Chiefs at San Diego Chargers
Eddie – CHARGERS
Surely San Diego you can beat the Chiefs in your own backyard. This is your time to shine.
Fred – CHARGERS
Just like the Eagles did last week, the Chargers offense wakes up and lights up the boards. They win in a landslide.
Denver Broncos at Indianapolis Colts
Eddie – COLTS
Champ Bailey and Dre Bly may I introduce you to Manning, Harrison, Wayne and Addia.
Fred – COLTS
There’s no reason to pick against the Colts. They have no critical injuries. Both the offense and defense look great. And they’re at home this week.
Philadelphia Eagles at New York Giants
Eddie – EAGLES
Word on the street is – McNabb can still throw the ball. I think last weeks win for the Giants was a product of the Skins beating themselves.
Fred – EAGLES
The Eagles finally “got off the snide” and racked up the points last week. The Giants barely came back and beat the Skins last week. Giants will not be playoff bound while the Eagles should be, so Eagles get this win to go 2-2.
Monday October 1, 2007
New England Patriots at Cincinnati Bengals
Eddie – PATRIOTS
Enough said.
Fred – PATRIOTS
Patriots have done nothing but dominate thus far. On Monday night, Cincy should give them their first challenge, but it won’t be enough to get the victory.
Week 4 Survivor Pick - CHARGERS
2007 NFL Week 4
Sunday September 30, 2007
Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings
Eddie – PACKERS
What can I say? The Packs are 3-0. History will be made during this game so the real question is can Favre withstand the pressure to lead his team to 4-0? I think so.

Houston Texans at Atlanta Falcons

Fred – FALCONS
Atlanta has to win a game this year and now’s a good opportunity, at home, against a team missing their #1 RB and WR. Upset pick #2
St. Louis Rams at Dallas Cowboys
Eddie – COWBOYS
The offense of the Rams has been injured on the battle field. Their season is over and the woes continue in Dallas.
Fred – COWBOYS

Wednesday, September 19, 2007
2007 NFL Week 3
2007 NFL Week 3
Sunday September 23, 2007
Arizona Cardinals at Baltimore Ravens
Eddie – RAVENS
Arizona may have upset the Hawks last week but won’t do that in Baltimore. The Ravens defense is just too good.
Fred – RAVENS
The Ravens defense shows up, shuts the run game down, and scores at least one defense TD. Ravens win, but it’s a close one.
Miami Dolphins at New York Jets
Eddie – JETS
Pennington comes out with something to prove and will only throw one interception to lead the J-E-T-S jets jets jets to victory.
Fred – JETS
Cam Cameron has completely jacked up the Miami offense. Even against a pathetic Jets defense, they won’t be able to put up enough points to beat the Jets at home. Jets win.
San Francisco 49ers at Pittsburgh Steelers
Eddie – STEELERS
Pittsburgh just looks too good on both the offense and defense side of the ball. The 49ers will give up too many big plays to keep this game competitive.
Fred – STEELERS
A battle of two 2-0 teams…except the Steelers have dominated their opponents (In two games total points for: 60, total points against: 10), while the Niners have barely won. At home, the Steelers continue their domination.
St. Louis Rams at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Eddie – RAMS
The RAMS need to look deep within them to pull out this victory. They have one of the most explosive offenses and one of the best running backs in Stephen Jackson. They can’t go 0-3.. right… right?
Fred – RAMS
In two home games, the Rams have not been able to get their entire offense going. And if they can’t do it at home, on the turf, it’s tough to believe they can do it away. Well, I do. They need a change of scenery. S-Jax and the rest of Rams offense finally gets rolling and gets the "W" in Tampa Bay. Upset Special…and pick #1!
Detroit Lions at Philadelphia Eagles
Eddie – EAGLES
Just imagine after this game the Lions could be 3-0 and the Eagles could be 0-3. Nah this season isn’t really happening. I must have fallen asleep in week 2 of the preseason and just haven’t woken up yet.
Fred –EAGLES
Is it possible for the Detroit Lions to be 3-0 and the Philadelphia Eagles to be 0-3. No way! Eagles show how they will be a playoff team this year and win this one.
Minnesota Vikings at Kansas City Chiefs
Eddie – CHIEFS
Kansas City gets the nod only because Arrowhead is still one of the toughest places to play in.
Fred – VIKINGS
Last week, Tavaris Jackson and Adrian Peterson had the worst game they’ll have this season…and the Vikings only lost by 3 in OT! Since it’s in Arrowhead, the Vikings will only win by a little. Upset Pick #2!
San Diego Chargers at Green Bay Packers
Eddie – CHARGERS
So we all know the Packers defense has been underrated this year and Favre is looking to have a fairy tale ending. This just hast to stop. LT – please show everyone why you are the best player in the NFL.
Fred – CHARGERS
Can a 14-2 team last year, and with the majority of the same players (but not coaches) start this year 1-2? LT is too good to have another mediocre week. He finally breaks out and the Chargers barely beat Green Bay in Lambeau.
Buffalo Bills at New England Patriots
Eddie – PATRIOTS
Dare I pick the Bills. I was dumb enough to pick the Chargers last week and we all saw what happened to them.
Fred – PATRIOTS
Bills desperately need a new Offensive Coordinator. Their best offensive player, Lee Evans, has less targets than Demetrius Williams on the Ravens and Arnez Battle on the Niners. Unless they fire him ASAP, this game is over in the 1st quarter. Patriots crush the Bills.
Indianapolis Colts at Houston Texans
Eddie – COLTS
Even if the Colts are the better team I’m going with the common theme with this week’s picks. The Texans can’t be 3-0 so by default the Colts will win.
Fred – COLTS
Houston’s hot, but with no Andre Johnson, they don’t have a chance. Indy goes 3-0.
Jacksonville Jaguars at Denver Broncos
Eddie – JAGUARS
Denver’s offense has been looking a little lethargic and their last two victories have been by a field goal. I think the Jags will keep it close and win it at the end – by a field goal.
Fred – BRONCOS
At home, against a team that barely beat Atlanta, the Broncos kill Jacksonville.
Cleveland Browns at Oakland Raiders
Eddie – RAIDERS
The Browns pulled a rabbit out of a hat last week. The squirrel found the nut and the sun shined on the dogs - well you get the idea.
Fred – RAIDERS
Before last week, I would have called Oakland winning this game without flinching. Oakland should still win this, but it will be an extremely close one.
Cincinnati Bengals at Seattle Seahawks
Eddie – BENGALS
It’s rare to see Seattle lose at home but I think the Bengals are the better team even when they are on the road.
Fred – BENGALS
As everyone knows, the Bengals defense got torched last week by the Browns. Marvin Lewis figures out how to get their minds right for this game, and they blow away the Seahawks. Upset pick #3!!!
Carolina Panthers at Atlanta Falcons
Eddie – PANTHERS
Harring-is-done proves why the Falcons had to pick up the B.L. and the Panthers bounce back from a horrible loss to the Texans.
Fred – PANTHERS
Now that the Falcons have signed Leftwich, Joey knows his job is in jeopardy. It’s too bad, but he’s just not a good NFL QB. Panthers have their way with Atlanta and get the W.
New York Giants at Washington Redskins
Eddie – REDSKINS
I think the Skins are the real deal. The Giants are playing small.
Fred – REDSKINS
The Redskins can go 3-0? Yup. Their offense is getting better and their defense is good. The Giants defense is atrocious and even if their offense was the best in the league they still couldn’t win.
Dallas Cowboys at Chicago Bears
Eddie - COWBOYS
If the Cowboys can contain the Bears’ special teams they will control the game.
Fred – COWBOYS
The Dallas offense is running on all cylinders. The Bears defense will slow them down, but not enough to get the victory. Upset pick #4!
Monday September 24, 2007
Tennessee Titans at New Orleans Saints
Eddie – SAINTS
Monday night. It’s time to man up Saints. Put up or shut up. Get in or get out. The Titans are no joke. We could be seeing a 0-3 Saints. Wait – aren’t we used to that?
Fred – SAINTS
There’s no way the Saints can be this bad! They come home, their entire offense racks up the points/yards, and win their 1st game of the season.
Week 3 Survivor Pick - PATRIOTS
Sunday September 23, 2007
Arizona Cardinals at Baltimore Ravens
Eddie – RAVENS
Arizona may have upset the Hawks last week but won’t do that in Baltimore. The Ravens defense is just too good.

2007 NFL Week 2
2007 NFL Week 2
Sunday September 16, 2007
Cincinnati Bengals at Cleveland Browns
Eddie – BENGALS
The Bengals offense didn’t look good last week but that was against last year’s top defense. Just imagine what they will do to the Browns.
Fred – BENGALS
Yet another beat down…the team, who just trading their starting QB after the 1st week of the season, gets crushed by the Bengals
Indianapolis Colts at Tennessee Titans
Eddie – COLTS
Last year the Titans beat the Colts in Tennessee. Don’t expect that to happen this year.
Fred – COLTS
Vince Young does win games, but not against the team that just made the Saints look like a JV team.
San Francisco 49ers at St. Louis Rams
Eddie – RAMS
I expected more from both teams in Week 1. Now I’m not sure what to expect. I like the RAMS at home to bounce back from a disappointing loss against the Panthers.
Fred – RAMS
This is the toughest pick this week. Both offenses should put up plenty of points, but since the Niners poor blitzing probably won’t exploit the Rams O-Line, St. Louis puts up more.
Green Bay Packers at New York Giants
Eddie – PACKERS
With Eli and Jacobs out how can one not pick Green Bay?
Fred – PACKERS
Upset #1! Green Bay takes advantage of a hurt Giants team.
New Orleans Saints at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Eddie – SAINTS
The high powered Saints offense will arrive in Tampa Bay and bring forth a win for you.
Fred – SAINTS
Just like Jacksonville, New Orleans vents their frustrations from last weeks loss and shows they’re one of the best team’s in the NFC, and demolishes the Bucs.
Atlanta Falcons at Jacksonville Jaguars
Eddie – JAGUARS
Both teams looked horrible but I have ZERO confidence in Joey Harrington.
Fred – JAGUARS
Jacksonville vents out its frustration from losing last week’s game against Tennessee. They win, and rack up a ton of rushing yards against the Falcons.
Buffalo Bills at Pittsburgh Steelers
Eddie – STEELERS
This will be a closer game than many think but Big Ben and Fast Willie Parker gets it done.
Fred – STEELERS
1st home game for Pittsburgh. With Mike Tomlin’s home debut, they crush the Bills.
Houston Texans at Carolina Panthers
Eddie – PANTHERS
Both teams looked legit last Sunday but which one was real? Panthers prove they are going to contend this year. Mark them down for the “W”.
Fred – PANTHERS
Panthers barely win, and it’s only because of the home field advantage
Seattle Seahawks at Arizona Cardinals
Eddie – SEAHAWKS
Branch will be more involved as S.A. runs over the Cardinals as Arizona starts the season 0-2.
Fred – SEAHAWKS
It’s the 2nd most difficult one to call this week. Both passing games click and the Seahawks win the high scoring affair.
Minnesota Vikings at Detroit Lions
Eddie – VIKINGS
The running backs of Minnesota versus the wide receivers of the Lions. What a match up this shall be. I like the defense of the Vikings so I’m going with them for the win.
Fred – VIKINGS
Upset #2! The Vikings defense and rushing offense is for real. They beat the Lions in a close one.
Dallas Cowboys at Miami Dolphins
Eddie – COWBOYS
Romo and Co. looked too good as the Dolphins can’t even put a consistent running game together.
Fred – DOLPHINS
Upset special!!! And it’s Upset #3. Miami’s defense gives the Cowboys a reality check, and Miami eeks out the victory.
Oakland Raiders at Denver Broncos
Eddie – BRONCOS
The Raiders always plays the Broncos tough so something inside me really wants to pick Denver but the Broncos finally have their workhorse running back in Henry and two established wide outs. Denver is the better team and they are at home.
Fred – BRONCOS
With either Culpepper or an injured McCown at QB, the Broncos take advantage of it and get the W.
Kansas City Chiefs at Chicago Bears
Eddie – BEARS
The Bears will be hungry for a win as they lost a difficult game against San Diego last week. The Chiefs will play dead as they try not to get eaten by the Bears.
Fred – BEARS
Da Bears win against the team with the worst coach in the NFL, and have a 1-1 record.
New York Jets at Baltimore Ravens
Eddie – RAVENS
Even a banged up Ravens defense will have no problem man-handling the Jets.
Fred – RAVENS
Possibly no McNair and No Pennington…hmmmm. Boller is and will always be a bum. But, with one of best defenses in the league, the Ravens get the home win.
San Diego Chargers at New England Patriots
Eddie - CHARGERS
The Patriots won’t be stealing defensive plays this game so they won’t have an answer for LT and Gates.
Fred – CHARGERS
Upset #4! Patriots aren’t able to prepare for this game like they have previous games, so the Chargers come into town and pull out the win.
Monday September 17, 2007
Washington Redskins at Philadelphia Eagles
Eddie – EAGLES
Eagles are tough at home and the Redskins look horrible once again this year.
Fred – EAGLES
Skins barely won last week. The Eagles barely lost last week. The Eagles, the 2nd best team in the NFC East, lights up the scoreboard against the Skins and gets the W.
Week 2 Survivor Pick - BEARS
Sunday September 16, 2007
Cincinnati Bengals at Cleveland Browns
Eddie – BENGALS

Week 1 Recap
We ended up picking 11 games the same and only getting one game wrong of those eleven. Not bad for Week 1. I guess we are just shaking off the dust.
I went 13-3 with Fred going 12-4.
Week 2 appears to be a little more challenging but between the two of us we hope to get you the win.
Look for our week 2 picks to be posted Wednesday night. We know a lot of our visitors are in office pools and some have to submit their picks early so we'll do everything we can to put our picks up every Wednesday.

2007 NFL Week 1 Picks
2007 NFL Week 1
Thursday September 6, 2007
New Orleans Saints at Indianapolis Colts
Eddie - COLTS
Offense versus offense is what this game will bring to us. The Colts have the better QB and wide receiving core and they are at home.
Fred – COLTS
Indy won all their home games last year. Pretty much same offense, better defense…no reason why they should lose this one
Sunday September 9, 2007
Kansas City Chiefs at Houston Texans
Eddie – TEXANS
I have no confidence in Herm Edwards to have the competence to beat a Houston team that lacks mojo. On the road for KC means Houston should win this game.
Fred - TEXANS
KC won only 3 of 8 away last year. They looked atrocious in preseason. Houston has a fresh look and is ready to carry their preseason success into the regular season.
Denver Broncos at Buffalo Bills
Eddie – BRONCOS
A young offense that is coming together + a defense that has a secondary like no other equals a loss for the Bills.
Fred – BRONCOS
Buffalo defense looked awful in preseason and their offense is still gelling. Denver, on both sides, is ready now.
Miami Dolphins at Washington Redskins
Eddie – REDSKINS
This is a tough pick. Portis is out to prove his worth and the home team gets the nod.
Fred – DOLPHINS
This game should be a battle of defenses, and Miami’s is better. Upset pick #1
Philadelphia Eagles at Green Bay Packers
Eddie – EAGLES
I expect a solid defense game where Favre throws at a minimum 3 picks. McNabb and company walk away with a win.
Fred - PACKERS
Should be a high-scoring affair. Packers passing offense and defense are top notch…at Lambeau, the Packers will prevail. Upset pick #2
Pittsburgh Steelers at Cleveland Browns
Eddie – STEELERS
I’m only picking Pittsburgh because Cleveland hasn’t glued together their offense yet.
Fred - STEELERS
The starting Steelers offense has looked fantastic in preseason. Cleveland just named its starting QB. Even though it’s in Cleveland, this should be a slaughter.
New England Patriots at New York Jets
Eddie – PATRIOTS
Lots of unknowns surround this game. How will Jones do? Is Pennington good enough? How is the Pats defense without Harrison? Will Moss play and how will he do? Too many question marks so you go with the better QB. BRADY.
Fred - PATRIOTS
If it wasn’t for Thomas Jones' injury and Pennington’s poor play this preseason, the Jets would win.
Atlanta Falcons at Minnesota Vikings
Eddie – VIKINGS
Not much to say about these two teams. Vikings have the better D and they are at home.
Fred – VIKINGS
Vikings get the win strictly because of home field advantage
Tennessee Titans at Jacksonville Jaguars
Eddie – JAGUARS
Jacksonville’s defense is top notch. Young is – well young and so is that offense. Garrard is the better QB for the Jags and he’ll lead them to victory, for this game at least.
Fred – TITANS
Upset special…and #3!!!! Titans won 6 of the last 7 last year and looked great in preseason. Just like Cleveland, the Jags just named their starting QB, and their offense was lethargic in preseason.
Carolina Panthers at St. Louis Rams
Eddie – RAMS
In this game you go with the team who has the better offense. STL.
Fred – RAMS
An even better offense in St. Louis against a questionable Carolina offense/defense. Upset pick #4
Chicago Bears at San Diego Chargers
Eddie – CHARGERS
Ever seen lightning strike a bear? Well you will this Sunday.
Fred – CHARGERS
Norv’s going to want to impress the fans with his new offense. San Diego murders Chicago
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Seattle Seahawks
Eddie – SEAHAWKS
This is a lock that’s missing the key. Seattle wins this game with their second string.
Fred – SEAHAWKS
Seahawks have regrouped from last year and are at home. Tampa Bay still hasn’t found a starting 2nd WR
Detroit Lions at Oakland Raiders
Eddie – LIONS
The Raiders defense has improved but the Lions offense has improved more. The Raiders will be lucky to win a couple of games and this won’t be one of them.
Fred - RAIDERS
Upset pick #5. Raiders defense is great and their offense is improved. Raiders barely beat Detroit
New York Giants at Dallas Cowboys
Eddie – COWBOYS
T.O. loves the spotlight and he’ll have it Sunday night. Tiki Barber took with him a huge % of the Giants offense and it will show against a tight Dallas defense.
Fred – COWBOYS
Big D on Sunday Night equals Big W
Monday September 10, 2007
Baltimore Ravens at Cincinnati Bengals
Eddie – BENGALS
Tough tough pick and I can’t wait to watch it. Palmer proves why he’s a top rated QB and Chad Johnson will get to show off some endzone moves as they take the win at home.
Fred – RAVENS
Baltimore, 13-3 last year, with McGahee this year…great game, and Ravens win it. Upset Pick #6
Arizona Cardinals at San Francisco 49ers
Eddie – 49ERS
Edge has lost his edge and the Cardinals won’t be asking for more of Gore.
Fred – 49ERS
Whisenhunt is still trying to figure out how to run the ball. Niners offense and defense will be much better this year.
And for those playing in a Survivor League - this week's pick is SEAHAWKS
